Roe Deer In The Sunset. Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire.

from £55.00

Roe deer buck captured behind young cow parsley plants just before sunset. Local produce show overall photography winner.

A lone roe deer stands at the ridge, ears alert and illuminated against the sinking sun. The sky is a wash of honeyed gold and bruised lavender; light spills across the meadow in thin, trembling ribbons. The deer’s coat, a warm mahogany dusted with silver, seems to drink the last of the day’s colour. Its breath puffs small ghosts into the cooling air.

Around it, grasses bow and whisper. A distant copse casts long, soft shadows that fray into the fields like ink into water. The deer turns its head slowly, nostrils flaring as it reads the evening—scent of earth, the faint tang of the last of the day, the hush radiating from trees. Time seems to slow; each muscle poised for a decision that never needs to be made. The stillness presses gentle and complete.

Printed on PF Lustre 310 Semi gloss Paper without watermark.

Not Framed, Print only. No refunds unless damaged in post then please get in touch.
